The local government of Chloraka has undergone significant changes over the centuries, from the time of Ottoman and British rule to the present day. The first community leaders, known as mukhtars, along with the azas, managed the administration of the community without compensation, with committees appointed by the Government. In 1979, the first elections were held for the election of Village Committees. This page presents some of the community leaders of Chloraka who have served the community from the early part of the last century to the present day.
