At the western edge of the village stands the picturesque church of Archangel Michael. The village’s elderly remember the ruins of the medieval church, which was also small, just like the current one. They also mentioned that in the old days, a festival was held in the churchyard, gathering almost the entire village.

The consecration of the church took place by the Metropolitan of Paphos, Chrysostomos II, on September 6, 1987, during the tenure of Ifigenia N. Pentara. The charming whitewashed church, with its well-maintained paved courtyard, attracts many believers and numerous foreign tourists every day. Its wooden altar is simple and consists of only three portable icons. In recent years, the church has been frescoed by the iconographer Andreas Papa-Aristodimou.

The church of Archangel Michael frequently hosts the sacrament of baptism. It usually operates twice a year, on September 6, the day of the miracle of the Archangel in Chonais (Chonech), and on November 8, his day of remembrance.
