Waste Management
Residents and property owners in Chloraka are informed that household waste collection will take place every Monday and Thursday.
Green Points
The “Green Points Network Development Plan” for the collection of recyclable materials and special waste across Cyprus began in 2005, when the Solid Waste Management Department of the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with all Municipalities and Communities of the Republic of Cyprus, pre-selected sites for the construction of Green Points.
Recycling
Recycling is an important part of waste management, contributing to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources. In the community of Chloraka, recyclable materials (paper, plastic, metal, and glass) are collected every Thursday.
Dogs
The Community Council calls on all dog owners (over three months old) to obtain a dog ownership license and comply with the provisions of the relevant legislation.
Community Water Supply
A Community Water Supply system operates for the water provision of the entire area under the Community Council’s jurisdiction. The system covers all public roads, including the rural areas. There are two water tanks, each with a capacity of 500 Klit (500 tons). One is located in the Petridia area near the St. George chapel in the Empa area.
Relief/Discount Criteria
In the community of Chloraka, criteria have been established for providing relief and discounts to residents to ease their financial situation.
